Barcelona suburb, \u200b\u200bhas enviable views over the city and one of its most emblematic monuments; the \u2018Sagrada Familia\u2019 Basilica.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The surplus interior compartments, typical of 70s construction, and the lack of natural light in daytime spaces, led us to consider the total remodelling of the owner&#8217;s apartment to correct these deficiencies and create a home in line with Kike\u2019s modern and current lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This led to a radical change in the existing layout, and its new design focused on the creation of open spaces on the ground floor, designed as the day area, and enlarging a room on the upper floor. To open up the space on the ground floor, metal elements supported the load-bearing walls of the building, features that have given more character to the daytime area. To enlarge the room on the upper floor, light structures were built that created new spaces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The renovated house has a completely open ground floor with kitchen, living room and toilet, open via large spaces in the facade to the terrace, creating a very bright space with exceptional views over the city.
